The artist; private collection, Switzerland;[1] (Galerie Renée Ziegler, Zurich); purchased 10 March 2006 by NGA.
[1] The painting was published in 1974 as being in the collection of Edith Hafter, which was in Switzerland (Al Held, exh. cat., Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, 1974: 45).
