Scholarly Remarks and Key Set Data
Remarks
This photograph and Key Set number 1375 show the early stages of construction of the Hotel and Industrial Mart at 515 Madison Avenue (directly across the street to the north of An American Place). The work began in early 1931 and was completed in late summer of the same year (see Photographic Views of New York City, 1870s–1970s, no. 564.C7). The titles are based on those of similar works exhibited in 1932.
