Overview: This was the first public showing in Washington of selections from a gift of more than 6,000 prints and drawings by Lessing J. Rosenwald, which had been accepted by the National Gallery on March 17, 1943. Some of the 350 illustrated books given to the Library of Congress were also exhibited.
